Allies Against the Enemy (part three)

Animal Protection Party V Dr. Death

No I'm not recommending that you vote for the Animal Protection Party but I am sympathetic to them. The important thing is that the Labour Party are not re-elected, voting Liberal Democrat will help the Labour Party retain power. See General Election - Who should Home Educators Vote For?.

To be honest they get a mention here because I received the leaflet below through the door this morning -

Here's the text in case you have trouble reading it -

"Doctor Death

Your current MP Dr Evan Harris has been nicknamed Dr Death by some of his fellow MPs because of his enthusiasm for euthanasia and extending the time limit on abortions.

He also advocates the use of hybrid human/animal 'Frankenstein' embryos for research.

Harris is the most vocal supporter of Oxford University's secret animal research programmes. Here researchers attack the brains of monkey's in order to replicate the symtoms of Parkinson's Disease. To most thinking people this is nothing short of idiotic and can never reveal a cure for this devastating uniquely human condition.

He also wants to remove our right to refuse the mass fluoridation of our water supply. Fluoride is a waste product of the aluminium industry, is of no benefit to teeth, and is linked to a variety of diseases.

He is an aggressive secularist, serving on the council of the 'National Secular Society' and attacking anyone (particularly Christians) who allow their faith to challenge his views."

In short, Dr Evan Harris has no morals, according to him there are no moral absolutes, no no-go areas, all that matters is the end result (as he sees it).
We all should be more than aware of where the 'greater good' argument can take us.

Here's a quote I've lifted from the Animal Protection Party website, I'm thinking of adopting it for this site.

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as crazy, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do."
