19/6/10
As a result of our shocking University of Utah investigation and the resulting
public outcry, Utah legislators recently voted overwhelmingly to amend its
pound-seizure law to allow animal shelters the right to refuse to release
animals to the university.
Only one animal shelter in the state—the North Utah Valley Animal Shelter (NUVAS)—continues to betray vulnerable animals by selling them to the school for experiments.
We are now calling on compassionate supporters like you to help protect the dogs and cats at NUVAS from being sold to the University of Utah.
Please
take a moment to contact
Tug Gettling, director of the North Utah Valley Animal Shelter, and
respectfully urge him to make the compassionate decision to immediately
end the release of animals from his shelter to the University of Utah.
Thank you for standing up for animals!
