Help Stop Pig 'Prison' From Being Built in Derby
Midland Pig Producers (MPP) has submitted plans for a huge development,which will produce a thousand pigs a week to be transported to slaughter. At any one time, this development could house approximately 26,000 pigs.
Factory-farmed piglets have their tails and testicles cut off without being given painkillers. If they ever feel the warmth of the sun on their backs or grass under their feet, it is likely to be only when they are loaded onto a truck for slaughter. Pigs are often slaughtered while they are still conscious in front of other terrified pigs.
